Syllabus: | This unit is designed to provide the student with an overall understanding and knowledge of issues facing Indigenous people's health in an international context. In the process, she/he will be equipped to work and contribute effectively in indigenous health issues, within both Australian and international settings. This is a stimulating and challenging course about health and health care for an extremely disadvantaged and vulnerable population group. As you will see, the areas covered in the unit are notjust relevant to indigenous health, but also touch on issues central to human welfare and the environment. |
