Syllabus: | An insight into a number of media and communication theories, concepts, models and methodologies, with a particular emphasis on Asian media. A wide range of media, including print, broadcast and the Internet, is examined to provide a comparative overviewof critical approaches used in studying and analysing the contemporary media-scape. Students develop an understanding of audiences, of the processes of communication, and the power of mass media in relation to society and culture. |
