Syllabus: | Laboratory and clinical practice in dental hygienist procedures. Patient assessment, treatment planning, prevention and treatment methods for periodontal diseases. Post-treatment care and desensitising agents. Record keeping and appointment scheduling. Local analgesia. Dental radiography: intraoral, lateral oblique and panoramic radiographs. This unit has additional practical hours conducted outside of normal semester hours. |
