Syllabus:	Critical reflection on assumptions in the helping professions. Critical thinking in the development of empowerment strategies with diverse groups. Contribution of sociological perspectives to individual and small group work. Contributions from sociological theory and cross-cultural counselling. Understanding of issues relevant to professional practice with Indigenous people.
