This one-year full-time equivalent course is for educators who hold a four-year teacher education degree or equivalent. Students complete seven [7] units. Four [4] of the units are standard coursework units selected from those available each year. It ispossible for students to build a sequence of units in particular areas (streams) of interest: Leadership for Learning, Learning Technologies, Applied Linguistics, Special Education. Students can also pursue particular interests by completing units such as Independent Study 691 and Professional Practice 624. Students can also select units from across the streams. The final three [3] units are specified units leading to the completion of a research dissertation: Foundations of Ed Research 620 and Dissertation Proposal 639 must be completed before enrolling in Dissertation 696. Students who complete the dissertation with a grade of 7 or higher may be considered for enrolment in the PhD (Education) or the EdD (Doctor of Education).
