Syllabus: This unit will continue to build on learning, experienced during earlier units as well as school experiences, culminating in the development of a personal teaching philosophy with the intention of developing truly reflective practitioners. It will focus on classroom management through appropriate planning and assessment strategies while considering the total learning environment. Reinforcement of the most appropriate assessment practices that are fair and valid for the various domains and learning areas will be addressed. Students attend a three hour workshop per week, one day practical in the Early Learning Centres each week and undertake a three week block practicum.
