This course introduces students to the dynamic field of public relations through the application of principles and concepts relevant to the practice of strategic communications. Students without formal tertiary qualifications, but with extensive managerial and/or professional work experience are eligible to be considered for enrolment in this course.
An undergraduate degree, in any discipline, from a recognised tertiary institution or at least five years substantial managerial or executive level work experience.
This course is available on a part time basis only.
This course prepares students for careers in the rapidly growing and diverse arena of public relations. Graduates may work in media relations, PR consultancy, corporate communication, public affairs, community relations, employee communication, marketing public relations, government communication, or the not-for-profit sector.
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
