A course weighted average of 70 per cent in the Postgraduate Diploma in Commerce is required by applicants commencing without an appropriate honours or Bachelor of Law degree.
The course is by research and normally requires two years full-time or equivalent part-time study.
This course is studied as a research degree. The content of the degree should be determined in consultation with the Head of School, School of Business Law. Students without prior studies in research methods and statistical data analysis may be required to undertake relevant preparatory units. This will increase the stated course duration. Applicants interested in this course should contact the Head of School prior to enrolment to discuss the proposed research to identify if a suitable supervisor is available.
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
Students should not enrol in this research course to receive the Postgraduate Diploma in Commerce (Commercial Law) but rather, have undertaken it as a requisite for admission (if required). Curtin Business School provides facilities and benefits for those studying this course by research, including access to suitable computer facilities, office space, financial assistance to attend appropriate intra or interstate conferences, and towards associated research costs.
