This is a 100% research-based course.
Course Entry and Completion Details
This course is available to applicants with the following qualifications: Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (level 9) graduates and MD (level 9) graduates. Also eligible are graduates of Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours) (level 8), or a Bachelor of Science (Honours) that is relevant to medical sciences, or completed a relevant Bachelor and completed a diploma or equivalent or completed a Masters by Research, or Master’s Degree by Course work (Level 9). Exceptional graduates from Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (level 7 double degree) or relevant Bachelor of Science course or equivalent, who have successfully completed at least two years accredited postgraduate training, or research experience and who have evidence that they have the capacity to conduct significant research with research experience or evidence of research dissemination would meet the entry criteria. The specific level of achievement is dictated by the Graduate Research School. All applicants will be interviewed prior to admission.

A graduate of this course can:
1. Demonstrate expert understanding of theoretical knowledge and to reflect critically on that knowledge and their practice
