Course Overview
Master Degrees (Coursework) prepare students to apply advanced knowledge for professional practice, scholarship and further learning corresponding to AQF level 9 qualifications.
The Master of Management is specifically designed for recent graduates and early career professionals who are seeking to develop practical business skills to boost their careers, add to their current experience, or start their own business. The two-year full time program has been created to meet the needs of individuals who want to succeed in the global business environment and are emerging leaders. It offers students a state-of-the art curriculum, delivered by a world-class faculty as part of the largest Business School in Western Australia. Teaching focuses on practical skill development combined with evidence-based ideas, delivered through case-studies, real-world problem-solving and projects in real organisations dealing with real issues. The program is supported by ‘wrap around services’, including career development, industry networking, mentorship and the opportunity for study tour overseas and international student exchange; designed to provide all industries with the future global leaders that they need.
The course contains optional industry and fieldwork activities which may incur addition expenses.
Course Entry and Completion Details
Applicants for a Master Degree (Coursework) are required to meet University academic and English language entry standards; details are provided at http://study.curtin.edu.au/. Subject to the duration of the course applicants usually require a Bachelor Degree or equivalent (and may require relevant work experience), Bachelor Honours Degree, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma. All Curtin courses have compulsory and other core capabilities that are essential for demonstrating the achievement of course learning outcomes and graduation. Students who are unable to meet or demonstrate those requirements, now or in later stages during their studies, may seek reasonable adjustments by the University wherever possible to facilitate alternative ways of achieving those requirements. If reasonable adjustments cannot be accommodated, Curtin will discuss study options to find an alternative course of study or an exit degree. Any specific course entry and completion requirements must also be met.
The Master of Management has competitive entry with limited places being offered. An undergraduate degree in any discipline. A high course weighted/credit average is required. Credit for Recognised Learning
Applications for credit towards a course are assessed on an individual basis. Credit reduces the amount of learning required to complete the course and may be granted for formal education qualifications, non-formal learning from non-award programs of study and informal learning through work experiences. Credit may be granted for relevant prior qualifications recognised as being at the same level as the MBA, and/or, relevant professional development programs of equal standing to Master of Management units.

Course Organisation
Master Degrees (Coursework) contain a series of units in a specialised area of study which may include compulsory (core), optional or elective units to cater for student preferences. They may also contain a range of majors/streams for students to choose from.
Course Learning Outcomes
A graduate of this course can:

9. critique and reconceptualise the roles of leadership, ethical practice and professional integrity when working within a team and independently
This fee-paying course is two years full time or, equivalent part time study. International students studying in Australia on a student visa can only study full-time.
