Course Entry and Completion Details
Applicants for a Master Degree (Research) are required to meet University academic and English language entry standards; details are provided at http://research.curtin.edu.au/postgraduate-research/future-research-students/entry-requirements/. Applicants require a Bachelor Degree with a strong academic performance and may also require relevant substantial work experience or Bachelor Honours Degree (first or second class) or Graduate Diploma. Any specific course entry and completion requirements must also be met.
This course is available to applicants with the following qualifications: Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (level 9) graduates and MD (level 9) graduates. Also eligible are graduates of Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours) (level 8), or a Bachelor of Science (Honours) or equivalent that is relevant to medical sciences, or completed a relevant Bachelor and completed a diploma or equivalent. Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (level 7 double degree) or relevant Bachelor of Science course or equivalent completed with superior performance together with relevant work or research experience. The specific level of achievement is dictated by the Graduate Research School. All applicants will be interviewed prior to admission.
Credit for Recognised Learning
Applications for credit towards a course are assessed on an individual basis. Credit reduces the amount of learning required to complete the course and may be granted for formal education qualifications, non-formal learning from non-award programs of study and informal learning through work experiences. Course Learning Outcomes
A graduate of this course can:
1. Demonstrate mastery of theoretical knowledge and to reflect critically on that knowledge and its application
2. Investigate, analyse and synthesise complex information, problems, concepts and theories and apply established theories to different bodies of knowledge or practice
