| Syllabus: | This unit is designed for learners to reflect on and evidence their development as educators, their teaching aims, innovative practices, and achievements. In this capstone unit, learners collate evidence of their teaching by drawing on learning across the Graduate Certificate and scholarship of teaching and learning. Learners reflect on how one’s disciplinary context shapes teaching aims and approaches, what constitutes evidence of their teaching effectiveness, and the impact of their teaching on student learning. Learners use this reflection and evidence to develop and present a teaching portfolio, with a preference for an online portfolio. To complete the portfolio, learners present their philosophy of teaching, reflective teaching statement, and evidence their development, innovative approaches to teaching and learning, and excellence in supporting and facilitating student learning and teaching. Learners may choose to use this evidence in developing fellowship applications for professional accreditation. |
