Minor Overview
Minors prepare students to develop broad knowledge about an additional discipline area that complements their study in an award course.
Minor Entry and Completion Details
Students undertaking the B-ARTS Bachelor of Arts or the B-COMM Bachelor of Commerce may be eligible to study a minor (100 credits) where the course includes a minimum of 100 elective credits. Credits permitting, students can elect to study a maximum of two minors, provided minors are from a different discipline area to the course or major being studied. Refer to the 'Rules for Minors', located under 'Minors' in the 'Definitions' tab of this Handbook.

Minor Learning Outcomes
A graduate of this course can:
1. apply discipline knowledge to critically review, analyse, consolidate and contribute to evidence-based practice in creative advertising design
2. demonstrate cognitive and technical skills in both a broad understanding of design and with depth in creative advertising design
3. use and discern between a range of design technologies and media platforms in the production of creative advertising design-based solutions
4. demonstrate effective visual, spoken, written and technical communication appropriate to the creative advertising design discipline and apply effective self-directed learning skills
5. demonstrate personal awareness of a creative advertising design practice and sustain an engagement with contemporary practices, technologies and the creative industries
6. develop a predictive overview of future trends that will influence creative advertising design and creative advertising design practices
7. recognise the importance of social, ethical and cultural diversity and consider local and international perspectives in creative advertising design activities, studio practice and production
8. demonstrate how intercultural awareness and understanding impacts on personal and professional skills and on the ability to lead
9. work independently and collaboratively on creative advertising design projects and respond to project demands
