Syllabus:

The European community, Great Britain and West Germany from 1945. The changing international role of western European powers. Comparison of the British and West German forms of government and party systems. The European community as military ally and economic competitor of the USA and Japan. Political and economic framework of European integration. The effects of western European developments on Australia.
