The history of primary health care as a concept and government and health industry policy derived form the 'Alma Ata and Ottawa Charter'. Description of the application of Indigenous Ways of Working and terms of reference. Conceptual frameworks of the Western 'medical' model and alternative approaches. The multi-cultural dimensions of health care. An overview of the Aboriginal health industry in Australia - government levels and structures, and the community-based organisations. |
