Syllabus:

Enhancement of occupational performance through the application of occupational therapy intervention in the area of vocational rehabilitation, within the frameworks of the International Classification of Functioning (ICF) and Person Environment Occupation (PEO). Introduction to injury management of injured workers and the transition to employment of people with a disability, within relevant legislative guidelines. Post-school employment for persons with a disability. Psychiatric models of vocational rehabilitation including the Individual Supported Program (ISP) model. Modifying work for return to work /education with a disability. Creating individually designed programs, assessments, understanding of the barriers to successfully gaining or returning to employment, and the supports needed for a successful outcome. Partnerships in vocational rehabilitation.
