Syllabus:

Principles and techniques of spatial data collection - angles, distances, bearings, polar and rectangular coordinates. Surveying measurements - traverse, radiation, point positioning. Principles and strategies of data collection for GIS using total stations and GPS. Data recorders and electronic fieldbooks. Processing and computations - two- and three-dimensional coordinate systems, data checking and verification, survey data reduction, integration of survey data to GIS. Data quality.
