Syllabus: |
Traumatology - foot trauma. Ankle inversion sprain, posterior process fractures, Jones fractures, cuboid disease, sinus tarsi syndrome, lateral nerve compression and sesamoiditis. RSDS. DISH. Electrophysical agents. Indications and contraindications of various electrical and physical modalities used in podiatry including ultrasound, TENS, ice therapy, strapping and bracing techniques, rehabilitation, exercise and use of wobble-board etc. Podiatric orthopaedics - orthoses and management of diverse podiatric pathologies using orthotic therapy. Nail surgery - supervised practical sessions. |
