Syllabus:

Sociology and anthropology of health and illness. Health and illness as social events, the social distribution of illness, the biomedical model of illness. Cross-cultural variations. Migrant health. Epidemics. Healer and patient interaction. Medical and related institutions, healthcare systems and workers.
