Concepts of homeostasis, physiological control systems. The cell membrane as a regulatory structure, transport processes, chemical and bioelectric equilibria. Information processing in the central nervous system, motor and sensory systems. Control of thirst, hunger, appetite and body temperature. Hormonal and neuroendocrine control processes. Circadian rhythms and their effect on physiological processes.
