Syllabus: |
Flight planning and navigational logs. Natural/radio position lines. Navigation during climbs/descent/turns. Solution of turn problems. Advanced point of no return, critical point, safe diversion. Navigation and flight planning problems for turbo-jet aircraft. Advanced air navigation instruments, radio aids and inertial reference systems. Principles of Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS) positioning. Conversion between geographic, cartesian and plane coordinate systems. Datum shift versus seven parameter transformation of Cartesian coordinates. Elementary radar and air traffic control systems. |
