This double degree combines Asian studies and health promotion. Health promotion professionals work in government, community and international environments with emphasis on prevention of disease and the importance of staying healthy throughout one's life and creating healthy environments. Asian studies prepares graduates to work in Asia or with people of an Asian background in Australia.

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
The course is four years full-time or equivalent part-time study.
Students undertake a major in Chinese (Mandarin), Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Asian Studies or TESOL, in combination with the major in Health Promotion. Students enrolled in the double degree program may elect to transfer to a single degree course in one of the two disciplines. In this event the relevant Head of Department shall determine the amount of credit to be transferred to the single degree.

Graduates could work in health promotion in Australia or overseas, or as translators, facilitators and trainers in the health science area in Asia.
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
