Enables students with an undergraduate degree in business, commerce, tourism, hospitality or a related field to further develop expertise in the area of tourism management. It will provide students with the relevant knowledge and skill required for career advancement and management positions in the services, tourism and hospitality industry worldwide.
A bachelors degree in business, commerce, or other appropriate field from a recognised Australian tertiary institution, or equivalent qualification.
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
This fee-paying course is two semesters full-time or equivalent part-time study. Some units are available in the evening.
A student who has completed the requirements of an approved intermediate award may apply for graduation in that award subject to approval from the Head of School/Department. Fees apply. Intermediate awards approved for this course appear below.
Graduate Certificate in Tourism Management.
Depending upon the major area of study chosen, graduates are eligible for membership of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management.
Graduates generally find employment positions that have an interest in or focus on services and tourism management activities in the managerial level.
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
