Syllabus: | Introduction to field geological mapping techniques and recording of outcrop information from igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. Geological mapping in the field, using aerial photographs and appropriate field techniques. Map preperation and report writing. Maintaining field notebooks. Field safety. Field camp organisation. |
