| Unit Outcomes: | On completion of this unit students will have - Outlined the factors that influence productivity in grazing animal systems of production. Described grazing management techniques that are commonly used in both Australia and internationally. Described various grazing management options available and explained the advantages and disadvantages of those options. Discussed the individual characteristics that influence production from pastoral, agricultural and rangeland regions. Applied principles of population genetics to the development of a breeding program for grazing animals. Discussed the control and prevention of the major animal heath problems affecting grazing animals. Described the application of the use of new technologies to grazing animal systems. |
