Syllabus:Extended development of architectural design as a means to further investigate the relationship of architectural means and intent, Including brief requirements, people/architecture relationships, in other words, architecture and its agents, site analysis, staged approach to design and investigation of architectural theory.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- An understanding of the relationship between historic precedent and architectural design. The ability to fully investigate the possibilities of site and employ this information to generate significant architectural form. An understanding of different methods of generating architectural form. An understanding of the significance of materials. An understanding of the role of narrative, ritual, expression and symbolism in architecture.
Unit Assessment Breakdown: Folio 10%, Project 1 5%, Project 2, Part 1 25%, Part 2 15%, Project 3 20%, Project 4 25%. This is by grade/mark assessment.
