Syllabus:An introduction to the management of human resources and the Australian industrial relations frameworks and bargaining processes. Takes into account theoretical and practical aspects of the topics covered.
 
Unit Outcomes: On completion of this unit students will be able to - Understand and comprehend the key elements of human resource management. Understand the Australian industrial relations framework and bargaining processes. Identify, analyse and discuss key human resource management issues and their impact on the workplace. Recommend strategies to overcome management problems in the employment relationship
