Syllabus:Seismic - elastic properties of rocks, reflection and refraction methods for obtaining formation depths. Electromagnetic - induction laws, instrumental systems to measure phase, amplitude and direction interpretation of anomalies. Radioactivity - measuring techniques and their applications to assaying and radioactive dating. Field trips and demonstrations in nearby locations.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Developed skills in communication and problem solving. Master in application of knowledge. An understanding of technology.
