Syllabus:Issues surrounding the role of work for the individual, organisation and society. Review the legal, psychosocial and organisational issues related to Worker's Compensation and injury management.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Been introduced to the general requirements of Worker's Compensation legislation and the rehabilitation process. Analysed and developed contemporary prevention and rehabilitation policies and strategies for industry, organisations and their work environment. Identified the major issues involved in the role of work, changes in the workplace and the impact on individuals, organisations and society. Recognised and discussed the consequences for the individual worker of occupational injury, disease and ill health. Described the function of health and rehabilitation personnel, their services and resources which are available for individuals and organisations.
