Syllabus:Structural styles in different tectonic settings, particularly as applied to petroliferous basins. Importance of secondary migration and entrapment. Mechanics of halokinesis. Applications of remote sensing in basin evaluation.
 
Unit Outcomes: On completion of this unit students will have - Understood how tectonic analysis and remote sensing are applied to petroleum exploration.
