Syllabus: | An introduction to the history of rural development and contemporary issues facing rural communities in Australia, and in particular Western Australia. Having identified key issues, the unit examines strategic planning and management solutions for a more sustainable future. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have developed an understanding of issues facing rural Australia and in particular rural Western Australia. Developed an understanding of management responses to rural issues. Fostered self directed learning and further developed skills to analyse and share knowledge. |
