Syllabus:Undertake a literature review of a specified and approved topic, design a program, collect data, identify and logically analyse, critically evaluate and communicate results obtained during the study.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Work independently in the design, conduct and reporting of an investigation of a problem, topic or area of interest related to occupational health and safety. Obtain, analyse and interpret information so as to fulfil the started aims of the project. Prepare a report of an investigation according to scientific conventions. In addition to these skills, the project also provides you with the opportunity to be creative, explore a topic or issuein some depth, develop problem solving skills, undertake useful and worthwhile research

Unit Assessment Breakdown: There are three components of assessment for Occupational Health and Safety Practicum 590. The project contributes 100% of the final mark for this unit. The project proposal is worth 25% of the unit, the Literature Review is worth 25% of the unit and theremaining 50% of the unit is allocated to the final report.
