Syllabus:Mathematical methods including calculus and Fourier Analysis. Frequency response of an imaging system, which includes amongst others, the ideas of modulation transfer function of radiographic components. Image noise and its treatment by the Weiner spectrum.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have achieved the necessary knowledge of the physical principles of ionizing and non ionizing radiation.
