Syllabus:The unit covers techniques for effective written and oral technical communication, preparation of scientific reports and supervised group project proposal generation.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have gained familiarity with relevant professional and ethical issues as they relate to the computing and software industries. Students will develop and improve their written and oral communication skills and gain experience in solving a significant group design and implementation task through the production of a useful and professional project proposal which will include the necessary background material, a list of goals, an approach (methodology), a plan (with dates and time line) and the means by which success will be measured.
