Syllabus: | Specialised topics in hydrogeology, environmental and engineering geology - water resource evaluation, surface water dynamics, groundwater dynamics, yield analysis, aquifer parameters, bore hole siting and testing, groundwater monitoring, waste managementand salinity studies, weathering, terrain evaluation, geological hazards and environmental impacts. |

Unit Outcomes: | On completion of this unit students will have - Knowledge of the basic fudamentals of groundwater exploration and exploitation. Gained an appreciation of the nature of groundwater resources. Analysed natural environments of groundwater. Understood the basic principles of governing the nature of groundwater flow and various methods of its assessment. Learnt the essential physical and chemical characteristics of aquifers and aquicludes. Ability to present hydrogoelogical data by various means of communications. |
