Syllabus:Develops academic skills required for entrance into tertiary studies. Reading, writing, speaking and listening exercises are utilised to work on communication skills and develop the confidence required for effective communication.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- The ability to read and write, and speak and listen effectively in a range of different social contexts. Demonstrated the basic communication skills required for tertiary study - particularly the ability to read academic texts and write competent essays.
