| Syllabus: | Project of a detailed experimental or developmental study of a selected process, device or structure. Continues the activity undertaken in CEP 461 where students selected a topic for a project, have undertaken some preliminary work and reported on progress to the supervisor. Includes a final technical report and a formal oral presentation consisting of an account of the work involved, together with results and conclusions of the analysis, laboratory work and design as appropriate. |

| Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students have learnt to apply the knowledge they have gained in the first three years of the course to effectively deal with a particular project. They will sharpen the analytical, design, experimental and interactive skills needed to solve civil engineering problems and develop written and oral communication skills through presentation of the results of their project. |
