Syllabus: | The theory and practice of television journalism with specific focus on television news. Workshops concentrate on developing news research, writing, reporting and production skills working cooperatively with Film and Television students, who provide technical assistance in the form of sound and camera recording. Including production of original television news segments. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have - understood the theoretical development of television news, developed critical viewing skills, gained competency in television news production, established research methods specific to televisionproduction and enhanced professional and interpersonal communications skills within a team environment. |
