Syllabus:The roles, procedures and future of construction companies and professional practices, the relationships of construction professionals, structure and process of the construction industry, scope of work and fees relating to professional services.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Knowledge of the different way professional practices and companies can be organised and operated. An understanding of the role and relationships of professionals in the construction industry. Knowledge of the professional structure and processes of the construction industry. An awareness of ethical considerations in the construction industry. Knowledge of professional bodies which regulate and support the construction industry. Knowledge of thescope of work and fees relating to professional services. An ability to apply theoretical knowledge in solving practical problems.
