Syllabus:An introduction to fundamental concepts and techniques of computer programming via a Graphical User Interface. Problem solving by writing programs in an event-driven, high-level language (Visual Basic). Important ideas include problem solving, good programming design and data abstraction.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will be have - Practical skills in the use of Visual Basic to create effective applications. Skills in specifying, designing, testing and documenting computer programs.
