Unit Outcomes: | On completion of the unit students will be able to - understand the conversion of energy from electrical to mechanical forms. Have knowledge of the configuration of electrical machines. Understand the effect of winding and magnetic parameters of electrical machines upon operational characteristics. Understand the operation of power converters and conditioners for driving electrical machines. Be familiar with machine equivalent circuits and their use to predict machine performance. |
