| Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Critically evaluate and apply the injury management process within the philosophy and provisions of relevant workers' compensation legislation. Explain the role of key stakeholders in the facilitation of an injured worker's return to work. Discuss the role of vocational rehabilitation programs and specific services including job and task analysis, work capacity evaluations, graduated return to work programs, workstation modifications, and manual handling education, and their impact on successful outcomes in the return to work process. Identify and discuss intrinsic and extrinsic factors which influence the success of an injured worker's return to work. |
