Syllabus:An introduction to the evolution of landscape as a product of urban and regional planning and critical analysis of the character and quality of landscape spaces created by planners.
 
Unit Outcomes: Upon completion of this unit students will have developed an understanding of the evolution of landscape as a product of urban and regional planning. Critically analysed the character and quality of landscape spaces created by planners in towns and rurallandscapes. Examined the initiation of urban landscape, the private garden, landscape and the active and passive recreation movement, and landscape in building design. Examined land conservation and sustainability, landscape planning in suburban design, landscape and the development control process, rural landscape planning and the landscape design process.
