Syllabus:	An appreciation of the social and economic dynamics underpinning housing policy and the housing market in general. Develops the capacity of students to undertake housing research related to the development of stategic planning instruments.
Unit Outcomes:	Upon completion of this unit students will have developed the capacity to undertake housing research related to the development of strategic planning instruments through - an introduction to housing studies and their relevance for planners, housing projections versus current socio-economic trends, a study of social housing; and the development of housing strategies for local government.
