The engineering profession - work, organisation, ethics, history and structures. Introduction to professional engineering, problems, projects and solutions.

Unit Outcomes:

On completion of this unit students will be able to - Demonstrate and articulate an understanding of professional engineering, its structure, workings and relationships with society. Apply scientific and technical theory to engineering problems. Identifydefine and provide solutions to engineering problems. Produce engineering style reports.
