Syllabus:Competitive business environment, asset evaluation and identification, information systems and networking, intelligence and counterintelligence, information collection and analysis methods, counterintelligence by deception and denial of service, conflictin cyberspace, information systems protective security, inside system attacks, external system attacks, intrusion detection, incident reporting and situation awareness, reaction to attack, damage control and business continuity, national infrastructure issues and practical use of hacking and intrusion detection software tools.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have - Developed an understanding of the nature of business intelligence and its purpose in contemporary business environments, cyberwarfare in defence, and business and government organisations. Gainedunderstanding of the need for security of information and systems within public and private organisations and an appreciation for the strategies and tools used in cyberwarfare. Identified appropriate security mechanisms to protect against industrial espionage and cyberwarfare.
