Syllabus:	Occupational therapy philosophy, theories, models, frames of reference and values. Principles of occupational analysis, activity analysis, adaptation and grading and their application to occupational therapy. Professional practice emphasising clinical reasoning, communication, teamwork and evaluation.
Unit Outcomes:	On successful completion of this unit students will have - Critically appraised the occupational therapy profession's philosophy, theories, models, frames of reference and values. Demonstrated competencies in the use and application of occupational analysis, activity analysis, adaptation and grading within occupational therapy practice. Analysed the concepts, principles and relevance of occupational science to occupational therapy practice. Critically evaluated practice models and techniques for inclusion of client-centred practice principles. Demonstrated appropriate professional behaviours and effective communication and applied the concepts of clinical reasoning, reflection and evaluation within the professional practice setting.
