Syllabus: | Develops knowledge of detailed regional anatomy and the skills to undertake superficial and deep dissection to produce prosected specimens suitable for plastination. Students can extend their knowledge of one particular area of the body or undertake a number of smaller dissections. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated proficiency in superficial and deep dissection required to produce prosected specimens from embalmed cadavers. Described the detailed anatomy of the prosected specimen. Related the prosected specimen to overlying surface anatomy landmarks. Demonstrated thorough ethical practice and an understanding of the ethical issues involved in the prosection of human material. |
