| Syllabus: | Four weeks full-time engagement with the Forensic Branch of the WA Police Service or a forensic laboratory, comprising collection and assessment of evidentiary material, crime scene interpretation and compilation of a report on investigations undertaken. This report will also form the basis of a case study for 13578 Forensic Case Studies 401. |

| Unit Outcomes: | On completion of this unit the student will have a sound knowledge of procedures for the collection, preservation, storage and transport of evidentiary material, crime scene investigation protocols and interpretation techniques, and be able to write a synthesised crime scene report of evidentiary material to be submitted as briefing notes to relevant lawyers. |
