Unit Outcomes: | Students completing this unit should be able to - Understand the basic concepts and the principles of thermochemistry and organisation of matter. Carry out laboratory practicals using a wide variety of lab techniques and lab instruments with accuracy, precision, and safety. Use different techniques, strategies and models to analyse and synthesise chemistry data. Demonstrate and develop independent learning skills, critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills at a level appropriate for tertiary education. Communicate effectively using interpersonal skills in group discussions using language, concepts, and models of chemistry. Cultivate an inquisitive attitude and enhance their understanding about many fascinating and important phenomena in the natural world using the concepts in chemistry. |
